As much as we love all of the fun products we find in Minnesota, we are also in awe of the many, amazing MN organizations that work tirelessly to give back to the community. We want to help as much as we can. We decided that one way we can help is to give of all MN Box sales to one of the many worthy MN charities & non-profits each quarter. Our very first quarter is dedicated to STEP in St. Louis Park. STEP does a fantastic job of delivering food, clothing & emergency services to St. Louis Park individuals and families in need. Having volunteered there over the years, I have seen firsthand how much they care, how much they give & how they have simplified the process to make it as efficient as possible to get aid to those that need it. This December 10 is sure to be an exciting day at STEP as they were selected to receive food & donations from the 2016 Canadian Pacific Holiday Train when it makes it's stop in St. Louis Park on the corner of Library Lane & West Lake Street. The events will kick off with music, holiday activities & refreshments at 3:30. The train is scheduled to arrive at 4:45 with a music performance by Kelly Prescott & Colin James. Be sure to stop by for a memorable holiday experience & drop off a few non-perishable food items for those that may be struggling through the holidays.
In addition to that excitement, STEP is collection toys for area children in bins at their location as well as at Miracle Mile Shopping Center and at the Muddy Paws Cheesecake Sampling, Toy Collection & Local Goods Bazaar on November 29. Please take a look at their website for details & to learn more about this truly effective organization. http://stepslp.org/
