We are so fortunate in MN to have so many great places for EVERYTHING—theater, museums, restaurants, shops, lakes, festivals, galleries, music, comedy...& on it goes. I figured I would highlight some old favorites as well as new discoveries in this blog. After all, I think it's safe to assume that if you're on this site, you're a little bit in love with this state & perhaps want to try some new spots as well as be reminded of some you may have forgotten. So, this go 'round, I'd like to mention a gem of a spot if you like to hang around a bit while you sip your latte...Caffetto Cafe in Uptown. It's been around since the nineties & has retained it's unique vibe that attracts a seriously eclectic crowd. The staff is knowledgeable & efficient. The drinks are tasty. The gritty (in the best way) walls are covered with art & there are plenty of old-school board games to play at your table. Not to mention the pinball tournaments in the basement (which also houses a ping pong table as well as a completely instagram-worthy bathroom complete with graffiti walls). If you're feeling a bit weary of the almost clinical sameness that goes hand in hand with many coffee spots, Caffetto Cafe is a great place to get your caffeine fix.
